Do you sell to the public?
No. D&M is wholesale only. We sell to distributors, lumberyards and dealers, manufacturers, fabricators and contractors buying multiple units, truckloads or containers. We don't sell single sheets or retail; Valchromat and Viroc are the exception, sold by the full sheet.
What is the minimum order?
Multiple full units. Cut-to-size orders start at two units. Valchromat and Viroc can be bought by the full sheet.
Where is D&M Lumber located?
Our main office and warehouse is at 74 Bowne Street, Brooklyn, NY 11231. We also run a 5-acre rail yard at 52-17 Grand Avenue, Maspeth, Queens, breakbulk discharge at Pier 10 in Brooklyn, a 90,000 sq ft cut-to-size shop in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and a fabrication and painting shop in North Carolina.
What are your hours?
Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 4 PM.
Do you deliver?
Yes. Our own truck fleet delivers across the New York metro area, with just-in-time shipments from dedicated stock nationwide. Container and direct-mill orders come in through the ports of NY, NJ, MD, FL and TX.
What products do you carry?
Plywood (CDX, PS1-19 structural, concrete forming, sanded, marine and fire-rated), laminated plywood (white or black melamine face, TFL), lumber and timbers (Douglas Fir, Hem-Fir, SPF, Southern Yellow Pine), MDF and HDF, hardboard, blockboard, particle board and melamine, softboard, MgO board, Valchromat, Viroc, corrugated plastic and acrylic. Every size is on the full size list.
Do you sell fire-retardant treated lumber and plywood?
Yes. Any lumber or plywood we carry can be fire-retardant treated to order, with same-day treatment on our stock or yours. We also stock pre-treated CDX, UL, AC and 2x lumber.
Can you cut panels to size?
Yes, at our 90,000 sq ft shop in Williamsburg, Brooklyn: two units to multiple truckloads, in two weeks, with same-day rush service for established accounts. CNC, laser, edge banding and color-match painting are done at our North Carolina shop.
Can I buy plywood or lumber by the container, direct from the mill?
Yes. We import direct from mills in the Americas, Europe and Asia, from one container to one hundred, and by the vessel. Breakbulk is discharged at Pier 10 in Brooklyn, and containers are stripped at our Brooklyn warehouse.
Do you offer rail transloading?
Yes. Rail-to-truck transloading at our 5-acre Maspeth yard on the New York & Atlantic Railroad, with outdoor storage on site, for lumber, panels, OSB and gypsum.
